 About The Campaign

God has allowed Peace to fulfill the Great Commission through our education ministry.  For the past 135 years, Peace has been faithfully nurturing and educating children and their families so that they live abundant lives in Christ.

Five years ago, we expanded our education ministry by the addition of a Christian Childcare Learning Center. God has blessed the fruits of this faithful effort and we have run out of space!

Our Needs

Jesus said, “Let the little children come,” but we don’t have room for more children.

There is a pressing need for childcare in our community.  We are currently turning away children because of lack of space. We cannot care for infants because we do not have the space.  We also cannot accept childcare state assistance from low-income families because our current building makes it challenging to become a licensed facility.

The childcare ministry began at a time when the school enrollment was declining.  Since then, school enrollment has soared.  This has been partly because the Childcare Learning Center is introducing students to the school and partly because we have become part of the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program.

We are bursting at the seams!

Having all of these new children and families in our ministry has forced us to get creative in our use of space.

We do not have a proper space for sick children to wait until their parents arrive to pick them up.

We need the library, computer lab, music room and even the narthex coat room for classrooms.  Currently, we have no science or technology lab.

In the upcoming years, we anticipate an additional 50 students.

We do not have an entrance to our building that meets today’s safety expectations. Nor an adequate reception space that gives families a secure and welcoming introduction to our facility.

We also do not have enough space for our church,  school and childcare administrative staff.  The work spaces that were fine for a staff of 20 people are overcrowded and inadequate for our current staff of 40.

Our Dreams

Our dream is to build a full-service Christian education facility for infants through 8th grade. We will provide a new and modern childcare learning center, new early childhood education classrooms for 3K, 4K and 5K, regain single grade classrooms to accommodate our growing elementary school, provide a modern and secure entrance with a safe drop off and pick up zone, add a welcoming reception area, update our science and technology lab and create an efficient administrative hub for all of Peace Lutheran Ministries.

It would also allow us to become a licensed facility and accept childcare state assistance from those who qualify.

We would be able to provide adequate elementary and middle school classrooms with a STEM lab (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

And our current office area will be remodeled and used for our church ministry offices, ensuring a spirit of collaboration and unity within all our ministries.

God is leading many new children and families to our doors.  It’s exciting to see how God will work through our ministry efforts through both our faith in Him and our generosity.  To do this, we need your prayers and your generous giving. Join us as we take this next step to expand the ministry of Peace so more children and families in our community live abundant lives in Christ.

Three Ways to Give

Giving More Than You Thought You Could

There are three great ways to give. First you can make pledges over three years. This is the way most people are able to make a significant donation. Even a small amount adds up when given monthly or with each paycheck over three years.

These gifts are given over and above your regular giving. It can be given annually, quarterly, monthly or with each paycheck. Please consider an initial payment of 10% at the time of your pledge.

Next, you can make a non-cash gift. This might be gifts of stock; land or property; valuable possessions such as jewelry, automobiles or antiques or even in-kind gifts such as supplies or contract labor. The ownership of this gift would be transferred to church. We will sell this gift and use the cash to fund the building campaign.

Third, you can make a legacy gift. Through a charitable bequest in your will or living trust, you can leave a legacy that will continue for years to come. This thoughtful act may result in the largest, most lasting one-time gift you will make to your church while having little or no financial impact on you at this time. While this legacy gift may not immediately impact our current building needs, you can help ensure that it will provide for needs in the years to come.
